What is Medibud and what is it for?+

Medibud is a concentrated liquid fertiliser for the flowering and fruiting phase. It's rich in phosphorus and potassium — the P and K in NPK — the nutrients that drive bigger blooms, heavier fruit and stronger yields on roses, tomatoes, citrus and fruit trees.

When should I use Medibud instead of Medigrow?+

Use Medigrow (nitrogen-led) during the growth phase for roots, leaf and lawns. Switch to Medibud (phosphorus & potassium) the moment plants start budding, flowering or setting fruit.

How often should I fertilise, and when, in Australia?+

Feed every 1–2 weeks through the active flowering and fruiting season — spring through autumn is the main window, and spring is the most important feed. In warm, subtropical regions like Queensland you can feed almost year-round; ease off while plants are dormant in winter.

Is Medibud safe around kids and pets?+

Medibud is made from natural minerals and is safe around children and pets when used as directed (2 mL per litre of water); just let foliage dry after feeding.

How is this different from Seasol or the hardware-store bottle?+

Seasol is mainly a seaweed tonic — excellent for stress and roots, but very low in NPK, so it isn't a complete feed. Medibud is a complete, farm-grade mineral plant food concentrate with the phosphorus and potassium fruiting plants actually need — no fillers.

Can I use it on Australian natives?+

Take care: many natives (grevilleas, banksias and other Proteaceae) are sensitive to phosphorus. Because Medibud is higher in P for fruiting, use it sparingly on those, or choose Medigrow (lower phosphorus) for phosphorus-sensitive natives.

Liquid fertiliser vs granular — which is better?+

Liquid is absorbed fast through both leaf and root (foliar feeding), gives even coverage and lets you make mid-season corrections — results are often visible within a week or two. Granular releases slowly over months. Many gardeners use liquid for quick, even results.

How much do I use, and how long does a bottle last?+

Just 2 mL per litre of water. A 5 L bottle of concentrate makes 2,500 L of liquid feed — around 278 watering cans, or a full season for most home gardens, at roughly 36c per feed.
